This debate, on occasion of the OII conference in Copenhagen 2018, features Bjarke Oxlund, Danish Institute of Human Rights, Helle Jacobsen Amnesty Denmark, Kitty Anderson and Dan Christian Ghattas from Intersex Europe on issues surrounding the rights and access to safe and equal health care for Intersex individuals.
How can we make sure, that we not only stop harming intersex people in the name of medical science, but also ensures protection, equality, openness and safety regardless of diagnosis? How can Denmark live up to the creed of civil liberties and protection from harm for all citizens?
